Curiosity: intrigue is my middle name! Actually it’s not - but it should be. You see, I love to get to know people, places and things. Ideas, cultures, histories and mysteries. A particularly useful trait to have when trying to understand who your brand is and why it should matter.

I live for those questions, and it’s my job to distill the answers down to the essential oil of your brand, allowing us to move forward with a clear and compelling message.

the story behind the studio…

bringing the best of two worlds together

I’ve been lucky enough to work in two, very different sectors in my 15+ years as a brand storyteller: commercial advertising and the not-for-profit sector.

In advertising, I honed my craft as a copywriter to change behaviour in seconds with one, powerful tagline. As a communications expert in the charity space, I drove the emotional core of campaigns, mobilizing audiences to donate to a global cause.

What I’d come to realise more and more, working in those two contrasting spaces, was that advertising was in desperate need of the compassion and empathy I saw so often in the not-for-profit and charity sector. Yet, not-for-profits could use so much of the creative rigor and bold risk-taking I’d learned in advertising. Because empathy, compassion, and ethics, as well as disruption, boldness, and innovation work so beautifully together - and that’s where I come in!
